Jack Brooksbank and Edward Vye hosted the launch party for Sam's Riverside, the restaurant set up by their good friend Sam Harrison a stone's throw from The River Café.
Sam trained with Rick Stein before setting up Sam's Brasserie in Chiswick, Harrison's in Balham, then selling them to Hawksmoor. His new venture brings together legendary Rowley Leigh as culinary director and Harvey Trollope as Head Chef, serving a modern European menu with a focus on Anglo-French.
At the evening bash, high profile shareholders, foodie reviewers and friends of the hosts registered their approval by tucking away large quantities of oysters and seafood, slaked by Casamigos Tequila, Kew Organic gin, Pommery Champagne, Lucky Saint Beer and Double Dutch Tonic.
