SKI OUTFITS

Everyone wants a piece of Perfect Moment, and I LOVE their latest collection! I have organised a 20% discount for Jenks&Co clients which you can get by putting in code PMXALS20 when you order online.

Here are a few of their must-haves this season…

The Tignes Ski Suit in snow white with the fun rainbow panelling is the ideal statement piece for the slopes and the all-in-one style saves on packing space. You’ll definitely turn heads on the piste in this. And if the rainbow panels aren’t to your taste, there are seven other colourways to choose from.

The women’s Aurora Ski Pants come in a multitude of colours, so there's something for everyone. The slim-fit, flared shape is flattering for all shapes, and they look great not only on the slopes but also après-ski. I love the colour block look, so perhaps pair the green trousers with the women’s padded bomber jacket in yellow for a statement outfit to make you really stand out on the mountains.

I also love Perfect Moment’s après-ski jumpers. My favourites are the women’s merino wool Rainbow Stripes Sweater in citron, and the merino wool Stardust Sweater in white rainbow. Both ideal to go from the slopes to the bar.

For the more technical skier, Peak Performance is both practical and stylish. Their clothing is designed with professional free skiers in mind, and protects you from whatever the elements throw your way. I have the women’s vertical jacket in blue and yellow with the matching vertical pants in blue. They are made from Gore-Tex which is light, soft and breathable but also completely wind-and waterproof. Very snug!

SHOES

The Incredible Boot by Penelope Chilvers is my longest standing favourite for après-ski. The Winter White is classic and chic, a timeless piece for your ski wardrobe year in and year out.

However, new this season and we are loving it, the Camo Boot which will mix up your outfits in the best way.

For the younger crowd, Moon Boots have made a comeback. The iconic boot now comes in a glitzy metallic silver and eye-catching platinum, as part of the GLANCE collection. And for those who live for the parties, the unreal, sequined DISCO PLUS collection is a must-have this season.

THERMALS

For thermals, Falke is the go-to brand. They have a huge range of technical thermals, meaning you can buy specifically for different weather conditions, or for your preferred winter sport. They also have super-soft cashmere socks in styles for both skiing and snowboarding. With a wide range of colourways there really is something for everyone. We cannot recommend Falke highly enough.

SKI EQUIPMENT

 All Terrain

My favourite for all terrain/mountain in 2020 are the Deacon 76 Pro. They are a great piste ski, with a wood core and tip and tail rocker, which adapt well if you want to head into different terrain every now and again. They're reactive, they turn quickly and I love this year's top sheet!!

Freeride

The freeride ski for boys is the Mantra 102. It is fast, furious and looks the part. It also has a 3 radius sidecut, enabling maximum turning and speed versatility across the whole mountain.

The freeride ski for girls is the Secret 102. They are your friend – they want to turn, they are agile and light and feel great in fresh snow. If you want to charge they will handle it, and if you want to take it easy, they are very happy to cruise with you.

If you want something sightly thinner under foot to give you more manoeuvrability on the Piste, this ski also comes in a 92 under foot.

BOOTS

When it comes to boots, the most important thing is comfort and that in turn depends on the shape of your foot and personal preferences. I personally love Dalbello.

For boot fitting in London, Jen from Hike and Ride is fabulous and comes to your home!! Mobile boot fitting is a great development and I highly recommend Jen.

Outside London, Colin from Solutions4Feet is brilliant. Based in Bicester, he has been fitting boots forever, and has been fitting mine for over 10 years. If you're ever in his area or can travel there specially, he is definitely worth a visit.
