Just about the most useful thing a chap can have in his top pocket – a silk map of the French wine regions, courtesy of Rampley & Co.

Elliott Rampley started his business by doing pocket square collaborations with the Tate, The National Gallery, The British Museum and others, and has built up a fascinating range of designs. He said we could have any one we wanted for the boys' stocking. We eventually chose the wine map.

THE GLOSSY YEARS

Nicholas Coleridge's account of his years in glossy magazines is so full of household names, and so well stocked with stories about their dodgy behaviour, that you have to pause every few pages for a breather. Recounted with wit, affection and gusto, his reminiscence is enormous fun.

Nicholas has kindly signed 2 hardback copies of The Glossy Years, one for each of our Christmas stockings.

Which publisher has Nicholas spent his working life with?

Rosie Sugden has been incredibly generous and given a luxurious cashmere 'turban' to the girls' stocking.

All Rosie's cashmere clothing (and you must browse the range) starts with Mongolian goats. Every April, the fibre is combed off them before being sorted, washed and de-haired, then it begins the long journey to Scotland where it is spun in a 200 year old mill. It's dyed in 'open fibre' form, which basically means it's soft but also will last a long time.

Rosie Sugden's cashmere is made from?
